Marie-Jo Lafontaine

Marie-Jo Lafontaine (1950, Belgium) is a contemporary conceptual artist known for her sculptures and videos. Her work also spans textiles, carpets, video installations, and photography. Lafontaine explores human existence in all its forms and encourages viewing the world from new perspectives.

Her art has been exhibited at LACMA, Tate Gallery, Centre Georges Pompidou, and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. Lafontaine’s books are published in several languages and available in libraries and bookstores worldwide.
