Collection: Saul Steinberg

Saul Steinberg (1914, Râmnicu Sărat, Romania – 1999, New York City, USA) is celebrated for defining the postwar era with his unique graphic style. Known for his iconic covers and drawings in *The New Yorker* over nearly six decades, Steinberg was also acclaimed for his drawings, paintings, prints, collages, and sculptures displayed in galleries and museums worldwide.

Steinberg’s work, a fusion of high and low art, defies conventional categories. “I don’t quite belong to the art, cartoon, or magazine world,” he noted, reflecting his role as a modernist who continually explored new visual realms. His art is diverse in style but unified by its depth and imagination.

At Kunsthandel Meijer, we feature works by Saul Steinberg. For more details, please contact us.
